Just measured body fat with my calipers. Pre-Advocare, I was 210lbs with 14.3% BF. As of this morning, 191lbs and 9.8% BF.

So that roughs out to...

Pre: 30.03lbs of actual fat on my body
Post: 18.72lbs of actual fat on me

So out of the 19lbs total that I lost, 11.3 of those were pure fat. That leaves water, poo (cleanse phase), and *gulp* muscle to make up the remaining 7+ lbs. I'd say overall, that's acceptable, but my goal going forward is to continue to reduce body fat while minimizing muscle loss. That means focusing on protein intake and supplementing with extra aminos, while being sure not to overtrain.

Sorry for the Bleed-esque novel...sometimes it helps me to just write things out.

Went on a short run this morning here in Phoenix to beat the heat...caught my toe on a curb and laid it down into a patch of gravel next to the running path. Spent the next half hour picking gravel out of my hands with my knife in the hotel bathroom...

Here's another Advocare update/plug...

It's been a month since I completed the 4 week challenge. The only change that I have made is that I take a cheat day on Saturday now. I try not to go nuts, but really I eat almost whatever I want.

As of this morning, I was 185 pounds and 6.7% body fat. That's down 6 pounds and 3% bodyfat in a month. Since I started the challenge, I have lost 25 pounds, 4 inches off my waist, and almost 8% bodyfat. And that's for someone who was only about 14.5% bodyfat to start with.

If you're on the fence about giving the Advocare thing a try, take the plunge. You will not regret it.
