GWN's Fitness Thread

Have lost 40 now. I'm 10 pound away from reaching my goal. Wore a sleeveless tee at work and actually got a couple compliments.

Down 45 lbs now. Five more from my goal but hell I'm going for 25 more when I get to 50.

Triceps/Shoulders

15 minute rolling hills run on the treadmill

An hour of basketball.

Still got energy lol

Hellll yes. That's awesome, man.

Running again feels great. I have a ton of energy, and I'm waking up at 5:30/6 every morning, so I need it.

Finally done with this class, so I want to get dialed back in again. Unfortunately, I think I might have smoked my right shoulder again. Going to focus on high intensity internal training and running for a whole, and really lean back out again before I head to Rhode Island next month.

Bought a Fitbit Charge HR...this thing is awesome. Tracks all ten kinds of SHlT, including sleep patterns and has a built in food library. Highly recommend.

Almost pulled the trigger on one of those a couple weeks ago when my wife got one but I read a bunch of reviews that said it wasn't very accurate during any really intense activities, more just for tracking your "normal" daily activities. Do you wear it during your workouts? Does it seem to track those well?

Also, I know there are sensitivity settings that you can adjust but, my wife put her's on the day it came in the mail and it told her she walked 62 steps during an hour when she never moved off the couch so that raised my skepticism level.

Have not noticed that yet but will definitely keep an eye on it. I actually turned the "steps taken" tracker off because I could give a shlt about that. Just tracked a run that I've done a thousand times, and the distance was dead nuts and the calories burned seemed to be very realistic. The heart rate monitor is outstanding...its the first watch/bracelet style monitor I've had that worked worth a damn.

I'll give you an update in a week or so.

Wish y'all were in Clarksville. I coulda got you 25% off at DSG. I love mine GWN. Mine seems accurate, however I didn't adjust the sensitivity levels on mine

That's good to hear, keep me updated on if it keeps working for you. I definitely want to get one but I just read a bunch of reviews about inaccurate readings with workouts or playing sports. I'm like you, I don't really care about tracking day to day stuff but if it's accurate for workouts and runs then that's something I'd find worthwhile.

Ran 10 miles today which is the first time I've ever ran double digit miles. Hoping to compete in a half in the fall. I'm spent, but damn does it feel good
