The Somewhat Serious Discussion Thread

Bump for a couple things…

Today is my next-to-last November 15 before I retire.

Also…I’ve been enduring respiratory issues since July. Persistent cough, shortness of breath, and my lungs just generally ache all the time. Really frustrating. I finally went to a doc and they did a CT scan.

I have a 5mm mass on a one of my lungs. It’s a “pulmonary nodule” and my general practitioner says it’s completely common and nothing to be worried about. Unfortunately, there is no other information available pertaining to my symptoms. I have an appointment with a pulmonary specialist in December and hoping to get a clearer path forward.

I have no reason to believe this mass is a big deal. But it still scares the shit out of you when you hear the words. Appreciate any prayers or good vibes you guys could send.

Love yall.
Man, that is scary. Good on you for getting it checked out. Sending prayers your way.

You got it man, keep us updated.

Any update here brother?
Saw the specialist. Really no idea what is going on. Said the CT being clean was the biggest thing so that’s good. I had a test called a Methacholine Challenge test done, which ruled out asthma.

At this point, it’s just give it more time and see if it goes away in a few months. If not, they’ll start doing tests on my heart.

Well I’m glad the CR was clean and the MC test was good. I’ll continue to lift that up in prayer man.

Fellas

I have gone under contract to sell my house twice. One persons financing fell through. Another person backed out at the absolute buzzer of the inspection period (I believe his financing also fell through)

I have gone through so much contractor bullshit in the last 3 months than I ever care to experience again. Breaking things they’re supposed to be inspecting. Breaking things while fixing other things. Inspecting this, testing that. BREAKING THIS, BREAKING THAT. Had someone running a snake clean out of our sewer line for a minimal tree root and they hung a pipe fitting and shredded a PVC pipe. Jack hammering the floor, etc etc

Somehow the home we are under contract to buy has been cool about continuing to extend closing but my wife and kids and honestly even I am just tired. My wife is so disappointed and discouraged because she’s already moved to the new house in her brain. So I get the weight of all of that while trying to deal with the contracts, agents, do my job, etc.

It is a first world problem but I’m feeling it.

At least they went to school for 10 years to shrug their shoulders and charge you an infinite sum.

Will keep you in my prayers.

Man. That’s a load to carry. I’m sure you guys are drained and ready to get it over with. I’m sorry y’all are having to deal with that Breeze. That puts you in a tough spot with the misses too. I’ll pray for a swift and easy sell from here on out. Keep venting if you need to!
