The Somewhat Serious Discussion Thread

Bump for a couple things…

Today is my next-to-last November 15 before I retire.

Also…I’ve been enduring respiratory issues since July. Persistent cough, shortness of breath, and my lungs just generally ache all the time. Really frustrating. I finally went to a doc and they did a CT scan.

I have a 5mm mass on a one of my lungs. It’s a “pulmonary nodule” and my general practitioner says it’s completely common and nothing to be worried about. Unfortunately, there is no other information available pertaining to my symptoms. I have an appointment with a pulmonary specialist in December and hoping to get a clearer path forward.

I have no reason to believe this mass is a big deal. But it still scares the shit out of you when you hear the words. Appreciate any prayers or good vibes you guys could send.

Love yall.
Man, that is scary. Good on you for getting it checked out. Sending prayers your way.

You got it man, keep us updated.

Any update here brother?
Saw the specialist. Really no idea what is going on. Said the CT being clean was the biggest thing so that’s good. I had a test called a Methacholine Challenge test done, which ruled out asthma.

At this point, it’s just give it more time and see if it goes away in a few months. If not, they’ll start doing tests on my heart.

Well I’m glad the CR was clean and the MC test was good. I’ll continue to lift that up in prayer man.
