General NBA Discussion Thread.

The Hawks rallied from 23 down tonight to beat the Celtics. Figured I should report in on Rondo after watching him play a whole game. He got his 19 assists with some really nice passing from the perimeter, but he scored only two points and I don't remember him trying to drive the lane once (zero FTAs, anyway). He committed 7 turnovers. And he was invisible during the Hawks' big comeback, except insofar as both second-year man Dennis Schröder and Noted Slow White Guy Kyle Korver both lit him up on the other end. Apparently Rondo doesn't play defense at all.

Rondo has all the talent in the world, but at this point I wouldn't trade Jeff Teague for him straight up. Teague's not as good a passer but right now he appears to be better at everything else.

Teague is having fewer and fewer games where he's mentally absent.
 
Teague's really blossomed. It's going to be tough for him to crack the all-star team, but he deserves consideration.

Unfortunately for him Dennis Schröder is going to be gunning for his job sooner rather than later.

Remember how raw Dennis was when he first played here? The competition seems to be making them both better.

BTW, have you heard anything on Ferry's LOA?
 
Now that you mention it, I haven't read anything about it at all. I guess my assumption is that the plan is to let the new ownership decide what to do about him.

I'd like to see him back, but maybe I'm just a battered fan.
 
I'd like to see Ferry back too. Very happy with the direction of the team on the court since he got here.

Still can't believe that it just stopped with him, that nobody in the media made any effort to unearth the guy in Cleveland who made the comments about Deng to begin with.

If that comes out pre-Sterling mess it's nowhere near what it became.
 
He also scored twenty more points than lebron on the same amount of shots
 
Gotta love it when your bench comes in and expands the lead to almost 30.

I was at a Christmas party with a bunch of suburbanite East Cobb ass-holes and didn't see a minute of the game. Can't wait to watch the replay. HAWKS HAWKS HAWKS
