Where is everyone?

Are most of the people with that attitude from the same background?

I'm sure you can pick 'em out right away

Mostly, but honestly all our candidates are from the same background. Prior military or federal service, around 27-30 years old, etc. This dude surprised me. He's older, and I think he was just so set in his ways that he couldn't adapt.

I have no doubt that the candidates we have coming through now are the best ones we've ever had. Their experience level is phenomenal. That said, they can be very difficult to train because a lot of times they have a "been there, done that" attitude and can be very resistant to being taught new things. It's kind of a two-edged sword.

True. They have to have been leaders in previous positions, and been driven, but they have to take a step back and buy into the attitudes of the agency or it simply cannot work in the training/field atmosphere you face as a Marshal.

It is a very, very interesting training / culture question. Super applicants that have to realize what you are trying to do.

I'm going to be chilling out over here if this Fife dude is going to become a regular on the mothership. Dude is a chach.

Good to know we have more pitching prospects than I was initially aware of. Just as a sea turtle lays hundreds of eggs in the hope that a few lucky progeny will beat the odds and live to adulthood, a baseball team must foster as many pitchers as possible, for seagulls and TJS are equally ruthless enemies of development and long-term prosperity.

Case in point

Is the mother ship worth reading? I haven't been there in a year it feels like.

Meh, not really. A few dusters over there in the Braves Thread, same ole VN everywhere else. Over reactions, arguments, and e-peen contests. Should have a 4* QB commit to us tomorrow though

Official acceptance letter and welcome package received from the Naval War College. Looks like I'll report towards the end of July, and graduate in June of '16.

SHlT just got real for me.
