I've been trying to think on it some. The weird thing will be how varied the teams are.

He got removed from multiple classes for failure to follow instructions, lack of motivation / intensity, and arguing with / talking back to instructors. He was just a bad fit all around.

Whatever positive vibes were sent my way from you guys, I greatly appreciate them.

As it stood recently, I was deciding between George Mason and FSU criminology programs for my PhD. Both great crim programs, but not exactly what I want. I visited Fairfax and, if cost of living allowed, GMU was going to be the choice.

Two weeks ago, I got an email from and then had a telephone conversation with a doctoral program director. She is a badass, super sharp, and the conversation went well.

On Friday, I had a decent conversation with another professor at the same school. He was jet lagged, and seemed distracted, and I got somewhat discouraged. I had resigned myself back to GMU or FSU. Still good options, but my hopes up for what I really wanted would make a No hurt.

I got word today that I have been offered admission... And full funding + tuition forgiveness + insurance... To continue my studies at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs' doctoral program at Ohio State.

I will (at least going in) have an emphasis on organizational culture/theory & education policy.

I turned 25 on Saturday. I have been so busy that I haven't had time to reflect or think about anything. I've kept my head down, blinders on. This year or so, as you guys sort of know, has been an absolutely crazy stretch for me. And here's to it being even crazier on a different path. Pressure is a privilege, and I am excited for the next thing thrown my way.
