Where is everyone?

It's two hours of lecture on the basics...just providing that baseline info and introducing them to techniques and methods, terminology and such. Then we'll head outside where we'll do "glass house" stuff...we spray paint what looks like interior characteristics of a house on the ground (walls, rooms, hallways) and the students practice entering the glass house rooms in 2, 3, and 4+ man teams.

Next week, we take them out to our tactical "raid houses" where they actually start entering a physical structure.

That all sounds pretty awesome. I wanna see that process sometime.

Are these all guys that have made it through and been "selected" to be marshals, or is this part of the training where they can still be let go? Forgive me if that terminology is absolutely incorrect.

They have contingent job offers, but they still have to pass all of the training while they are here or they'll be terminated.

Makes sense. No pressure guys! Do most that make it this far make it the rest of the way through?

The vast majority do. We usually lose some, though.

My basic class was brutal. We lost 9 out of a class of 48.

If you had told me you had 48 guys I would have guessed you lost 15-20 normally. Not sure why though. Random guess.

They just can't do it, physically? Or decide not to do it?

Nah,its not that bad. Not like BUDS for the Navy Seals or anything like that. We do a decent job of hiring quality applicants, so everyone that makes it down here is mostly well-suited for the job.

We have some that tap out on their own. Most fail out one way or the other...academics or practical exercises.

Would. Love. So. Much. The CJ internship I did sucked and they didn't have a plan for me to do anything.

Couple folks in my program think they have internships with federal agencies lined up for spring... Dunno how true that is though.

Internships are kind of hit or miss. They're honestly not that great with my agency because we can't do that much with them...even if we take them out on a hit, they have to stay in the car. they usually just get stuck doing admin stuff.

Gonna do gif testing here to break out when Abernathy commits. Trying to get it to work
