Didn't get the job. She started off the phone call to tell me by saying you did incredible on your test, and even better on your interview. Then she just stopped. So I asked, "So I got it?" She said, "No, it's easier for us to go with someone who already has a water treatment license. But you did so well."

She really could not have thought of a better way to break it to me? Geez. I thought I had it too because they were raving about me in the interview. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

If that's specifically something you're trying to get into, how much work is it to get that license?
 
Crappy news, wU. Keep your head up. It's clear you made a great impression, they just had a different path in mind from the start. Might ask if there's anything you can improve on next time or any connections she knows of.

Almost 3 years of school to get a liscense. It's extremely difficult to get into because there is so small of turnover

I asked a similar question and she said we prefer licenced employees. It's basically because I don't have a liscense. It's all good though. I still have a good job
 
whose idea was it to make Word's default setting skip a line automatically anytime you go to a new line?

You would think that this is something they would have been upfront about from the start. You should have walked out of there knowing you were a longshot because of the license thing.

Looking forward to some incoherent Wu TNS posts later tonight though

Many times positions like that are already filled before they post an opening. Just formalities to keep the appearance of propriety.

I hope you were given a fair shake.

Just to follow up on what Brown said.. He knows how to get through to kids, and what it takes to get players from all types of backgrounds to buy in.. He will indeed do whatever it takes to win, but some of the things are overblown.. He does use faith, and I truly have seen him change the lifestyle of some real deal "bout that life" guys... It's not as over the too as people say though. He is basically the lead recruiter on every prospect. IMO, similar to how Butch seems.. Some guys just have it. Having some really good connections, and a video game offense also helps
