What's for lunch?

Papa Boudreaux is good stuff.

Swankys, if the same as the ones in memphis, is a disappointing recommendation

They have one in Germantown I believe, but it is entirely possible for one location to be better than the other, big homey. Sopapillas is the better Tex Mex joint in the Franklin
neck of the woods, come to think of it.

Papa Boudreaux's would definitely be the better option of the two. Assuming Verc and the fam enjoy that particular food demographic.

I've heard great things about Arnold's Country Kitchen in Nashville. Copper Kettle is also delicious.

I don't know about as many places in Franklin. Scotty would know more about that, ha.

Thanks for all the recommendations. Pasting them into an Evernote note for review when I get up there.

Cajun might be my favorite food demographic of all but unfortunately the missus doesn't really appreciate it. Any idea if they do carryout?

Need to look these places up and see how far they are from the walled compound. Everything's probably 40 minutes each way.

Pretty sure they don't, unfortunately. PB is legitimate. You owe it yourself. He has 2 locations. The original (and best) is in an old milk barn literally in the middle of nowhere. And seats about 20. But people flock to the joint from Nashville and surrounding areas.

Papa Boudreaux's Cajun Cafe & Catering Company

Look past the the LSU chit.

I feel like that's an ideal place for "Diners, Drive ins, and dives."

I have got to figure out a way to make that happen. Damn.

About the only way I ever get to eat Cajun food is to make it myself for lunch, and other than jambalaya I suck at making Cajun food.

It would be. It's funny because you see Beamers, Mercedes, limos and Porsches in a gravel/dirt parking lot in Nowhere, Tennessee.

Sometimes the wait is hours, but he lets you pack cornhole boards and tailgate (drink beer) in the parking lot. It's a bad ass spot. It has been on a couple of the shows on the Food Network.

I'm definitely going to have to hit that up, then.
