GWN's Fitness Thread

Haven't been posting but still been running. Today was the first run with zero walks as an interval. 37 consecutive minutes of run/sprint mix.
 
Pretty sure I have high ankle sprain in right leg and stress fracture in left foot but we rollin
 
Stress fracture is no joke. I had one in my left ankle about 6 years back. Don't let it go untreated.
 
Have been pain free last two runs and it's been great. I killed Tuesday. Legs were heavy today but I'll take anything over constant pain.
 
I have long sworn my kids would have a hyperbaric chamber/whatever technology is available for healing. I spent an unbelievable amount of time in hot/cold tubs in my life. Like a caveman

Worked out with some guest instructors today. Awesome change of pace. We did a Crossfit style AMRAP with two teams of three. Each team could break up the reps any way they wanted, but we tended to just go until we got a bit fatigued and then let the next guy sub in.

First 7 minute AMRAP...

Squats
50 reps with 135
50 reps with 185
As many reps as possible with 225

2-minute rest

Second 7 minute AMRAP...

Weighted dips: 50 reps
Military press (standing): 50 reps of 135
Hand stand push ups (against wall): As many reps as possible

2 minute rest

Third 7 minute AMRAP...

Hang Cleans
50 reps of 135
50 reps of 155
As many reps of 185 as possible

The team based workout really made it fun. Get as many reps as you can and then the next guy subs in.
