GWN's Fitness Thread

I got a rather decent one for pretty cheap on Amazon. Weslo cadence G 5.9 for $287. Had good reviews, pretty easy assemble. Certainly isn't a bells and whistles model but seems reasonably durable especially given price. I run on it about every other night, makes use of TV watching.

But the easiest thing I've found to be beneficial is every morning when I'm reading on my phone (here, yahoo, twitter, email) catching up on stuff, I walk on the treadmill. Don't have to get dressed or stretch. I feel old as hell talking about walking, but it's really easy and still easy to read. Running would complicate reading. It's 15-30 minutes I'm gonna "waste" anyway. Use to do it in bed, now I do it walking.

Glad this got bumped. I'm revitalizing things myself in anxious anticipation of my return home in June.

Did that come with or without the walker?

But in all seriousness that's a good price. Good deal man. Doing something is always better than doing nothing

Nice GWN! What exactly are you learning? I know you probably can't go into great detail, but is it as advanced as it sounds?

Oh it's no big secret or anything. First trimester was Theater Security Decision Making, and the one I'm in now is Strategy and War. We've studied a different campaign every week this semester and it's been incredible. So much I never knew.

Knocked out 4 miles. Also rolling with baseball every day. Still struggling to get into a consistent lifting routine.

I've been hitting it hard lately, but struggling hard. This age thing is no joke. My body feels like it's breaking down.

Need HGH.

Ageless Male is looking for a new sponsor. Heard they've been trying to get into War College for years.

4 miles + upper body circuit x 2

(Gonna post here daily. SIA but gotta do something to be accountable)

Hell yeah. I'm dialed back in as well. Have made a commitment to myself to be in the best shape of my life this August for my 40th birthday.

I've been working out with a friend who is a trainer for a living. I finally am learning how different techniques in lifting shape muscles differently and the results have been excellent (I was somewhat of a novice when it came to lifting). For cardio, I've been doing interval running on the treadmill: 1 minute of walking at 3.8 mph's, then 1 minute of sprinting at 10.3 mph's, back to back. I usually do that for 15-20 mins and it is kicking my ass but it has been working really well. Started at 203 lbs. After 2 months I'm at 181.

I've gone on a kick of moving away from the weights recently, doing tons of different body weight exercises over the last couple months or so. Can't say that it's directly attributable but, after two months of exclusively using a push up regimen for chest workouts, I went and got measured for a new suit I'm having made and I added an inch around my chest since I went through the same process a year earlier. Leg day is the only time I'm still messing with weight plates or swinging kettle bells around.

My problem is the cardio factor. I abhor running, unless it's on a good trail, pavement and treadmills are the worst and I can never motivate myself to suck it up and do it anyway. Before Dec showed up I was able to make up for it by playing soccer a couple of nights a week and hitting the skierg once or twice a week at the gym. I still hit the skierg but soccer nights have gone out the window.

Lmao. Full weekend bachelor party on Chicago got the best of me physically mentally and financially. Back on that horse today though brother don't you worry.

Thanks for the call out

Two miles this morning, prior to 7 am, for the crowd's pleasure. Back on my grind tomorrow night. Thank you, and God bless.
