Who knows how much truth there is to it, but I didn't even think about Cutcliffe to Michigan.
 
"The buyout for Tennessee to terminate its contract with Jones is unchanged. If it fires Jones, the school would owe him $2 million for each remaining year on the contract."

He got an extension through the 2020 season, so holy crap, his buyout is ten million GD dollars next year. Eight million after that. I hope Michigan really was coming after him, because we're completely married to him now. I like almost everything that he's doing but damn.

I'm not really concerned with whether we can fire him next year. But it does bother me a little bit that we're not going to be able to even think about firing him until after Year Five now, and even that would be a stretch. This guy had better be as good as we think he is.
