Ah, that's what I thought. Dammit.

Some guy bumped it and I moved it to the Batcave because I don't think we need to be talking about Bowles on the front page. Not sure how to keep that redirect from showing.
 
I think it's just wild speculation that it was his girlfriend. Lots of speculation in the Recruiting Forum football thread, mostly accusing Bowles of being motivated by jealousy. I'm really at a loss as to how to mod it. I want to delete it all. I think it sucks having people's names out there.
 
Definitely don't envy your position whatsoever. I've been avoiding large threads and rampant speculation because it's a waste of time but everyone now seems convinced she's not being totally forthcoming.

I vaguely know drae bowles..in that I've been around him two or three times. Good kid..never had a prayer in hell of playing WR at TN and should have been in the S/OLB role JRM owns from day 1. I argued that at the time.. Anyways..

He's off the team?
 
The thread I buried was from last March called "so whatever happened to Drae Bowles?" and some jackass bumped it and posted that he was cleaning out his locker. No idea whether there's any validity to it. Supposedly he was met by an angry mob of teammates who were pissed off at him for calling the cops on AJ, and supposedly he hasn't practiced for a couple days.
 
I just don't want a thread about rape to be the first Google search result for "Drae Bowles" for the rest of his life.

Based on what I've read it sounds like Bowles did the right thing. You call the cops and let them sort it out. As somebody in the recruiting forum pointed out, handling it in-house is what they did at Penn State. I understand why his teammates might be pissed at him but it's still disappointing.

The new Tennessee scout guy is a Braves fan. Said this of Dobbs at practice

The quarterbacks worked separately on different routes. The first had the quarterback slide left, then move right, before firing a pass to the receiver on a curl route. It was another time we were able to see the velocity that comes from Joshua Dobbs’ arm. Put this guy in right field and even Jeff Francoeur (in his prime) would be impressed.*
