Was wondering about that the first time around the spampocalypse happened. I've seen spam on other sites that at least attempt to be somewhat difficult to spot them as such. This was just gibberish spam of the highest order. Does that ever lead to anything for some one or some company?
 
Most of it has been in Russian. My Russian wasn't any good even in college, and now it completely sucks, but I can read enough to know that everything is just a short ad. Buy leather purses! Buy computers! Buy Viagra! Free porn!

I don't know whether it's automated completely, or whether there's some poor dumb bastard sitting in an apartment in Volgograd who gets three kopecks every time he successfully posts an ad on any forum or blog anywhere, no matter how obscure or what. It's seems completely impossible that it could be worth it for these guys. But yet it's here, so somehow I guess it works.
 
So I've listened to a local radio guy for going on 14 years. Some hate him, some love him. I like him because he's not the cookie cutter programming on the other stations. That said, he starts bringing on a guy to do basketball commentary a couple years ago, I think. Guy's pretty good; blunt, but knowledgeable. The host mentions the website the guy blogs for and all that stuff. Never thought twice about it until recently. Evidently the guy is from my neck of the woods, but I digress.

So I end up checking out the site recently and it is what Verc was alluding to when I first came over here and he is one of our old "friends." I'm so dense. I never even realized what has been in plain sight the whole time, lol.

My real reason for even bringing it up is that there are anomalies, shall we say, regarding posts of certain posters that always confused me. Yet now they make so much sense. I chuckle when I see it.

If this, as vague as it is, is problematic, delete it.
