What's for lunch?

Just for future reference when y'all are in Knoxville, the Shrimp Dock on Kingston Pike in Bearden has one of the best shrimp po boys I've ever had away from the water. Highly recommended. Lunch only, I think.

I've eaten at the one in Farragut. It's the tits.

Convenient ready quick serve Chinese. Overall, pretty solid for what it is.

Exactly. Don't go in expecting the world, but good for what it's offering. Honey walnut shrimp is money. Rice is a little lacking, but what are you gonna do

The one near me has no drive-through, which completely defeats the purpose of fast food for those of us inflicted with children. If I wanted to go to the effort to get the kids out of the car and go in and bltch at them to stay in their seats and eat, I'd just cook dinner myself. Grrr.

I'll have to try it anyway. The kids love Chinese.

Brutal.. Mine has a drive thru. You get free samples inside though

They built it in a parking lot where I guess there wasn't any room for a drive through. I was going to pick up dinner there one night right after it opened when Mrs Verc was out of town. Pulled in and was like, WTF. Went to Zaxby's instead.

My little girl is 5 and is just now to the point where she can get in and out of the car all by herself -- open the door, shut the door, buckle her seatbelt. It's been a decade, but maybe my time in thrall to the tyranny of the drive through is almost over. Getting kids in and out of the car every time you stop anywhere is worse than changing diapers.

I know about that from taking my 3 and 4 year old niece and nephew places. No fun at all.
