Langerhans traded to A's

I just hope its at least a worthy player, maybe a pitching prospect that could be a valuable 4th or 5th starter.

I'm pretty pessimistic that Oakland would trade away any pitching prospect that had a reasonable shot to get into the rotation for a good-D-no-hit outfielder like Langerhans. I'm not expecting too much.

there's speculation that it could be a player who is on the DL at the time the trade was made

the A's have 6 months to complete the trade

I don't know enough about the A's organization to be able to throw any specific names out there, unfortunately. A mid-range pitching prospect destined for middle relief, maybe. Nobody with an enormous amount of upside. Langerhans just wasn't that valuable an asset.
