Foam roller? Lacrosse ball?My entire muscular system is wound tight as a drum. I’m really struggling.
Yeah I’ve tried foam roller, stim machine, epsom bath, massage. To the extent anything provides relief it’s temporary. I’m better off than I was Tuesday night for sure but a long way from ‘good’Foam roller? Lacrosse ball?
Yeah. I did a 45 min HIIT & Hills ride Monday morning which was aggressive to begin with but I felt great so I went at it pretty hard. Did no recovery. Light warmup Tuesday and took my run out really fast, still feeling great. Calves usually tighten up on hills anyway due to the incline but after I got to the top and leveled off of a not too steep but kind of long hill my right calf didn’t loosen at all.Damn dude. Not sure what else to suggest other than to keep at the stretching and mobility. Maybe work in yoga once a week.
Pace is right on time. How did it feel?8 miles in 1:14
Great. Took about 45 min to warm up like an old timer then took it out close to the pace I wanted. Was able to hold and pick it up a little towards the endPace is right on time. How did it feel?
Obviously nutrition and hydration is key. I started using some of those “detox greens” powder that you mix into a drink and it really seems to help. It’s super nasty though.Great. we’ll see how recovery goes
I’ve started the gu gels on my long runs but haven’t really done anything else yet.Obviously nutrition and hydration is key. I started using some of those “detox greens” powder that you mix into a drink and it really seems to help. It’s super nasty though.
Check out a greens supplement. I really do feel like it helps flush out toxins and such. I drank it last night before bed and I feel like a champion today.I’ve started the gu gels on my long runs but haven’t really done anything else yet.
