Never went with the stache alone. During the first year or so that I had the full beard I kept thinking about shaving everything else so I could roll with just the stache by itself but I never pulled the trigger, mainly because I didn't want to ever go through regrowing the beard.

Dressed up for a wedding or two where I rocked the waxed mustache with the beard though.
