I had a similar reaction. He's putting WAY too much effort into something that he will never get "appreciated" the way he is hoping for without being paid. Maybe he could get good enough at it to parlay it into a gig with a recruiting service like LV did.

Burnout was/is inevitable with that level of effort and detail.
