I've got a Re-Play brand one but only because the GF got a bunch of them for free through her work. I still would like to pick up a GoPro though just because they are a lot more versatile. Just sticking it on the side or top of a helmet is the only way mine is really worth a damn.

How does the mounting work for that/

I was trying to find a better picture of all the accessories that come with it but this is about the best I could find:

In that first picture you can see the two different harnesses that you can use and each one of those slide into the mounting platforms right above them. The platform just has an adhesive backing to that will stick to the side or top of a helmet. It'll stick to any flat surface really but, since I was using my for snowboarding, the helmet was really my only option. Whereas with the GoPro you could attach it to your helmet, a chest harness, or even on the board itself. Not to mention the telescoping poles they have now.

I will say though that the picture on mine is really freaking good.
