Where is everyone?

I just hope that right after he posts the NSFW pics, he follows it up with another post about how religious he is like last time.

Congratulations! And congratulations on the excellent and understanding wife you must have too.

She is much better to me than I deserve.

Its an ideal scenario for us, though...no kids, no real issues to worry with. Still, it would suck being away 10 months. Hopefully we could make a couple trips a month to see each other.

In the end, I just couldn't pass on the opportunity. I don't think I have a snowball's chance in hell of getting it, but we'll see. I put a lot of effort into my application.

Would suck to be in Naval War College while married, as there may not be a better pick up line than "I'm in Naval War College".

Usually when I open up Spotify at work in the morning I immediately skip over the main page because it's all trash that I'd never listen to, but this morning it actually let me know that today is Bob Marley's birthday and now I've been listening to Kaya all morning, and a Friday morning at that. Thanks Spotify

I feel like a sweepstakes winner...

And since I don't really feel like doing any work today, I'm going to keep on chopping it up as much as possible.

The Importance of Vision

Speaker: Jonah Keri

Few organizations ever had worse timing than the Montreal Expos did in 1994. After 25 years of botched plans, false starts, and near-misses, the Expos finally assembled the kind of baseball team that could win the big one. On August 11, 1994, they led the National League East by six games, having blown past the supposedly unbeatable Atlanta Braves. Then, a labor impasse torpedoed the entire season and the World Series got cancelled, scuttling Montreal's dreams of a championship season. Unfortunately, Expos fans never got a chance to see what team might have done over a full season. Owner and managing partner Claude Brochu ordered general manager Kevin Malone to dump four of the team's best players as quickly as possible, to avoid a deadline date that would've seen their 1995 salaries kick in. In this talk, Jonah Keri explores the team's lack of vision and inability to commit to a winning team, keep fans engaged after the strike, and build what would have become a sustainable, winning product. These are the lessons every business must take to heart. It's easy to get caught up in the deadlines and challenges of today. But without the discipline to forge a strong long-term plan, the competition is going to eat your lunch. This valuable and entertaining keynote explores the importance of planning, of foresight, and of vision.

Just found out that this is going to be a session at a conference I'm going to next month. Seems like a bit of a stretch to how it applies to what the conference is about but I'm not complaining, looking forward to this one.

How about the Tom Brady-mike holmgren-brian griese mike debord propaganda that vol football is tweeting

Don't worry, our boy Scotty is going to single handedly take down everyone on Twitter with any pro DeBord propaganda, he's made that veeeeeery obvious.

Our AD knows how stupid our fans are, so they're trying to bamboozle them with balloons. Funny how it doesn't seem to be working though.

Seems a little weird that Butch doesn't just own up to what he's doing and publicly declare that he runs the offense and DeBord is just here to implement what he wants. It's like he wants to maintain plausible deniability for some reason when there's no reason for it.

I know right? Or you could spin it by saying, "I want to give my coaches every chance to move ahead in the profession if they choose to (Azzani). To do that I need a guy I trust to maintain stability and structure, but isn't intimidated by up-and-comers."

Not saying it's a great reason, but it's more believable.
