Pretty sure that Gator has been dropped completely from the name but the TaxSlayer.com Bowl is still run by an organization called Gator Bowl Sports, which doesn't seem to make a ton of sense.

If you're not opposed to staying outside of JAX a bit, I highly recommend staying in St Augustine. It's beautiful.

Doesn't particularly matter per se, but I do wanna go out after it that night. Are there good bars in St. Augustine? I like the view factor though

You will enjoy yourself in St Augustine, for sure. It's only about 45 minutes away from Jacksonville.

Can't comment on the night life aspect of Jacksonville...I'm not down that way to go out much.
