Verc learning the nuisances of fantasy football quite quickly.

After one whole week at this, I've come to the conclusion that this is a great activity for someone who doesn't have a team and doesn't really care about the outcome of the games, but who's interested in the sport. I.e., I probably should have been playing Fantasy Premier League for years. For someone like me who's already invested, it's sort of irritatingly beside the point. It annoys me that the one guy I have to root against tonight is VFL Jason Witten.

Two hours ago I was an 85 percent favorite to win. 10 minutes ago I was 50-50. Now I'm only at 11 percent. All because of David Wilson.

I didn't quite figure out the dynamics of the draft until it was too late. I figured I could still pick up somebody average later. Nope. My mistake wasn't taking a QB where I did; it was in not immediately following it up with even a humdrum RB after that. Ah well.

As a rookie fantasy footballer, i agree with taking Peyton when you did.

In a league like this where TDs are only worth 4 points, you pretty much have to take a RB early. In my other league, TDs are worth 6 points, so you have to have an elite QB to win. We also play individual defensive players in that league, so it's ridiculously complicated.

Not necessarily. I did it without a valid RB 2 years ago, but that was the year Brees went ape. I also had Calvin Johnson.
