Where is everyone?

Lmao. My wife asked who all I told about being pregnant and she just stared at me when I went through the list and ended with my Internet friends

Noch replied to me on Twitter last week and my sister saw it and I had to explain to her my internet friends and she thought i was the biggest nerd ever. She was also confused by the fact we were Braves fans that met on a Vol message board.

My dog ate another bee and is back in the hospital again. On the plus side of life/death situation but not out of the woods yet.

Wow man. Hope everything goes ok Breeze!
Thanks brother. It’s quite an event. He goes into anaphylactic shock within minutes so it’s a race to the vet hospital to get the epinephrine and IV going then blood transfusion to replace his clotting factors. He is progressing nicely overnight and so far today.

We have ground bees in some places in our backyard and he is a relentless pursuer of anything that moves, breathes or has a smell. Unfortunately he’s deathly allergic to them.

Dang man. Any way you can eradicate them?

Lord have mercy, that’s very unfortunate. Sorry to hear but glad the good boy is ok. Is he fixed? That may help a little with the relentless pursuits. But probably a long shot.

I’m not country Scott but I’ve got half an acre. I stay on top of them in the spring and summer as best I can but the middle of a snow storm in February was definitely unexpected for him to start plucking them out of the ground

He is fixed. He’s a miniature schnauzer. Not an ‘out in the woods’ style hunting dog, but hunting/tracking is in his blood. He’s insanely smart and can learn anything. I’ve taught him not to dig but otherwise he has pretty free range in the backyard. If I could get a bee to chill out long enough for me to teach him ‘no’ and ‘not yours’ then we’d be cool but not gonna happen

Everything he comes across, human child or animal, is his friend and they were born to play with him ha. He’s a good boy. It’ll be a lifelong battle.

He has a sister, same parents different breed, that is his polar opposite. It’s hilarious how different they are.

In the interest of keeping this thread ON TOPIC, despite others not following those posting guidelines: I am in Ohio, USA.

But - I will not be for long. After a whirlwind of a job market, negotiations, and finalizing the details this week, I can officially say: Starting this Fall, I will be a professor at Appalachian State. The family and I will be moving back south and back to the mountains. And I am so damn excited about it.

Good things ahead, gents.
