Biggest issue is that we have to wait for the whole investigation to drag out. Recruiting and building any momentum for the program is going to be impossible while it's still going on. And all this before the guy has coached his first game. What a nightmare.

I didn't want to hire Bruce Pearl, but I thought that was with the understanding that I didn't want to bring in a clumsier, less-popular Bruce Pearl.

Dave Hart can eat every dick in Alabama, as far as I'm concerned. Everything he's done has been a disaster. If Butch turns out to be a championship-level football coach then it's pure accident.

Hart has to answer for this, he brought him in, he knew his past. Leopards don't change their spots.
 
Best result for UT is a quick enough resolution that we can fire him for cause at the end of this season, hire somebody else, and chalk this up as one lost season. We were starting over anyway.

What will probably happen is that this will drag on and on, and then the NCAA will come down on him next summer or early fall, like they did with Pearl. That would put the new coach off until spring 2016.
 
So much less excited about my trip to see the game against VCU next weekend now that all this shlt has unfolded this week.

I haven't read the column but GP has a daily memphis radio show

He was just talking about how painfully this was mismanaged and how Tyndall won't be able to dodge it
 
Hearing that Tyndall will definitely be the coach this year but Hart is secretely getting a list together.
