Where is everyone?

So, I got accepted in Xavier’s M.S. in Water Utilities Management. It’s the very first Graduate degree aimed at Water Utilities, and brand new. Supposedly it’s been very competitive to get in, so I’m really pumped about it!

Let’s go!!

Nothing says small town like Friday night youth baseball in a “Painted Lady” team sponsored shirt lol
Dude. No lie. We saw BOTH my wife’s parents and my parents at the Chick Fil A before the game. There was zero coordination. That’s small town.

First game tonight. Little dude ripped one over the first baseman's head first at bat. Hard ground ball out to the first baseman 2nd AB.

Had trouble with a grounder at 1st. Spinning one off end of a righty's bat + a runner on first kinda blocking his view. He stuck with it though.

Team we faced off against first was super talented. Lot of them have played together a while + some hand picked stacking kinda vibe. Really crisp / organized overall and some good swings from a lot of kids. Scoreboard reflected that but my son's attitude was positive.

Gonna be a balance of progress and some deep sighs with some of our players but that's development at this age, I think. Hope we find ways to push for consistent high effort.

He was calling out the situation + base to throw to before most every batter. Huge for him as he can be a little shy on that stuff sometimes.

That’s huge at that age. That’s awesome.

When my boy was 7, we won 1 game. Had a team full of all 7 yr olds. We just stayed consistent on them getting better rather than the outcome. We won the ship the next year.
Old videos help with showing them how much they’ve improved for a confidence boost. Glad lil man is doing well!

That’s almost unheard of that age. Also 1st, is by far the hardest position in that age group.

My daughter has been playing t ball. Only way she would play is if I coached. So of course I bring my 3 yr old that lives and breathes baseball along for everything. I let him practice as if he were a member of the team but he isn’t close to the birthday cut off to be able to play in the league, doesn’t have a jersey, etc.

Thanks to some rainouts and reschedules, several of our games have been pushed back and people are traveling, can’t make games, etc.

All that to say, I’m about to unleash my 3 yr old on the world lol and he’s been foaming at the mouth to “play for real”

wickman with some really good stuff

I know DeMarini has a legit trade back program, that’s actually really beneficial

I’m coaching in the last year of coach pitch 8-9 year olds, and no one wanted to pitch to these boys, so I’m up here dodging darts from 15 feet away.

I’ve been whacked four times already. I look like my wife beats me with a blunt object. Praying I can keep my teeth.
Bro 9 yr old coach pitch is WILD
