Braves hold on after Wickman struggles

Denver — The Braves hung on for a win Friday night, but a figurative red flag went up after the second consecutive alarming performance by closer Bob Wickman. Wickman gave up three runs in the ninth inning and was pulled before the final out of a 9-7 Braves win against the Colorado Rockies in a rollicking series opener at Coors Field. The Braves had a season-high 17 hits but nearly blew a 6-1 lead.
