New York — Kelly Johnson started the day with a home run against Tom Glavine and finished off the New York Mets with another homer off Aaron Heilman. Johnson homered on the first pitch of the game, then hit a tiebreaking, three-run drive in the eighth inning to send the Atlanta Braves to a 9-6 victory Sunday.

Braves definitely made a HUGE statement today.

I thought they were roadkill after Smoltz gave up all those runs in the 6th inning.

I think you are exactly right CN, I think it was a statement game/series. Last year was an anomaly.

I said before the series that this one should tell a lot about the Braves. I think that they can hang def. hang with the Mets and win the Division like old times.
