Hill too hot for Redman
Hill too hot for Redman
Of the Braves' five losses, Mark Redman has been on the mound for three of them. He deserved a better fate Thursday night. After getting abused by the Mets in his first start, chased in the third inning by the Marlins in his second, Redman hung tough against Rich Hill, one of the hottest pitchers in the majors. But the way Redman pitched Thursday, he might have had a shot to beat almost anybody but the pitcher he was facing. Hill, who has allowed only one earned run in four starts, worked Braves hitters into a trance, good for a Chicago 3-0 win and a 1-1 short series split.
