He's hit a lot of homers, had a song written about him, been slapped on the back by Braves fans and Georgia Tech alumni, and had teammates praise him since coming in a trade that was supposed to shift the National League balance of power. But what Mark Teixeira hasn't had quite enough of is wins with his new team. That's why his two-homer, four-RBI game Sunday felt good, coming as it did in a 6-2 win for John Smoltz and the Braves against the surging Arizona Diamondbacks — a game that was about as close to crucial as one on Aug. 19 can be.
