Andruw Jones to have elbow checked

Philadelphia — Andruw Jones plans to have an X-ray or MRI exam on his aching left elbow when the Braves return to Atlanta, but the slumping center fielder won't ask out of the lineup before then. "Not against these guys," he said before Saturday night's game against the Philadelphia Phillies, who were a half-game ahead of the third-place Braves in the National League East after Friday's 5-4 win against Atlanta. Jones went 0-for-4 and grounded out to the pitcher after Jeff Francoeur's two-out double in the eighth inning Friday, one of only two times the Braves got a runner in scoring position after the first inning.
