New York — Braves closer Bob Wickman has lingering soreness in his right forearm and was scheduled to fly back to Atlanta Thursday night to be examined by a team physician. "There's always a chance something could be [seriously injured]," said Wickman, 38. "I'm done worrying about worst-case scenarios." The right-hander had "Tommy John" ligament-transplant elbow surgery in December 2002 with Cleveland, which kept him on the disabled list nearly 1-1/2 seasons. Since the Braves traded for him on July 20, 2006, he's posted a 2.76 ERA and converted 36 of 42 save opportunities in 72 games.
