New York -- It goes in the books as a 4-3 loss against the New York Mets, but it went down painfully for the Braves on a sweltering night at Shea Stadium. "That's the toughest one of the year so far, probably," pitcher John Smoltz said after the Braves fell back to third place in the National League East. Third baseman Chipper Jones said, "It's hard to swallow, plain and simple. We had it won, and we didn't close it out."
