Francoeur hitting home runs for charity

Friday, Jeff Francoeur and Delta Air Lines will announce an endeavor to benefit a charity that is dear and literally near to the Braves right fielder and Parkview High School graduate. Delta Air Lines, for whom Francoeur serves as a spokesman, will donate 25,000 SkyMiles for each home run that he hits this season to Dream House. The Lilburn-based charity helps medically fragile children to live at home through programs that teach and support families to care for such children. Dream House's original location was one block from Francoeur's childhood home in Lilburn. Laura Moore, founder and CEO of Dream House, called the program "very exciting for us." She said that many medically fragile children must fly to other cities for organ transplant check-ups or testing.
