Peavy puts up 'Clampetts'

San Francisco — Padres ace Jake Peavy was named to start tonight's All-Star Game for the National League, and the Alabama native is an early leader for quote of the week. It'll be tough to beat. He's spending his entire $25,000 All-Star bonus, and then some, to fly 20 family members and friends from his hometown of Semmes, Ala., to the All-Star Game, plus purchase game tickets and put all those folks up for three nights in seven rooms at the posh Westin St. Francis. "The Clampetts are coming to San Francisco," Peavy joked to a San Diego Union-Tribune reporter.
