San Diego — Now that he's out of a slump and hitting again, Braves catcher Brian McCann hoped the pain in his right knee would go away before it became necessary to tell anyone. It didn't, and he was sent for an MRI exam Friday in San Diego. It revealed no structural damage, and McCann was able to go behind the plate in the seventh inning Friday after catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia was hit by a foul tip. McCann said he would be ready to play today and would play in the All-Star Game Tuesday in San Francisco.
