Not only had the Braves gone six days without a win, they had gone six days without a lead. So when Brian McCann hit an RBI single for a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning Monday, the Braves were relieved. But when McCann hit a three-run homer in the sixth, the team and its fans at Turner Field were ecstatic. "To have a lead felt like a big load off our shoulders, for sure," said Tim Hudson, who pitched seven strong innings in a 4-1 series-opening win against the Washington Nationals to snap the Braves' season-high five-game losing skid.
