The rain wasn't enough to wash away the region's drought, or Tim Hudson's. After sailing through the first three innings, Hudson gave up four runs in the next three of a 4-0 loss against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night at sold-out Turner Field, a.k.a. Fenway Park South. A potential rainout became the best hope for Hudson after he gave up a David Ortiz homer in the fourth inning and two runs in the fifth. Alas, play continued through showers in the fifth and sixth innings before a 48-minute delay.

The crowd was really annoying last night. You couldn't tell what city the game was in. I like Atlanta, but it is such a transplant town that it's pathetic.
