Braves pitching ace John Smoltz left the game against the Brewers in the fourth inning Tuesday after "tweaking" his previously injured right pinky finger and his right shoulder, the team said. Smoltz (7-2, 2.58 ERA) will be reevaluated Wednesday. He left the game with the scored tied 3-3. The Braves were trailing the Brewers 5-4 in the top of the eighth inning. Smoltz originally hurt his pinky May 14 collision with Austin Kearns of the Washington Nationals. He left that game but made his next start in the pitching rotation.
