Gonzalez out for season

The Big Three in the Braves' bullpen has been reduced to two. Left-hander Mike Gonzalez is out for the season and likely until next summer after being diagnosed with a torn ulnar collateral elbow ligament that will require "Tommy John" surgery. "This is obviously the worst news you could get," Gonzalez said after meeting with doctors and Braves officials Friday and making the decision to have surgery. "I'm going to go out there and be as aggressive with this as I am to hitters. I know it's a long road, but I'm not down in the dumps."
