Before an adoring home crowd at Turner Field, the irrepressible Braves pitcher recorded his 200th win Thursday night with seven scoreless innings in a 2-1 victory against the New York Mets and pal Tom Glavine. Nine days after turning 40, Smoltz (7-2) pitched with an exuberance and precision that belied his years and the scars on his four-times surgically repaired elbow.
