I just spent 3 minutes reading that article to find out that Andruw Jones isn't as quick at 30 as he was in his early 20s. Please excuse me while I go absorb that bit of hard hitting journalism.

Agreed. It's not like this is any shock to people who've been paying attention. Even I knew enough about it to post Andruw's declining putout totals over on VolNation a month ago, and here's Stark acting like he just pulled off the greatest analytical coup since they invented the ERA.

Agreed. It's not like this is any shock to people who've been paying attention.

Therein lies the problem with the whole piece. Stark presents the stats as if to denigrate Andruw Jones when what he should be doing is taking himself to the woodshed for not noticing the obvious. If you're overrating a guy after 10+ years of Major League experience, it's YOUR fault.
