Boston — With more than a quarter of the season gone and Andruw Jones' average slipping toward .200, Braves manager Bobby Cox made a move he hoped to avoid. He dropped Jones from fourth to sixth in the batting order, which spoke volumes of the severity of his slump. And then it reached a new low. Jones went 0-for-5 with five strikeouts Sunday, matching a franchise record done just twice previously — by Harry Stovey in 1891 and Bob Sadowski in 1964 — according to the Braves media guide.

Sixth in the order, wow. 5 strikeouts is pretty bad.

I hope Andruw can get through this slump. Fortunately it is his mechanics that is horribly wrong for him so maybe if Terry works with him and Andruw will listen than he may pull through for the rest of the season.

All im asking is for some contact every now and againl. Seesh.
