the Haslams are apparently coming back with a vengeance and Swain said that they were ready to pay the full buyout *if* Fulmer went with Pruitt. I think the investigation made it much easier to push Phil out. Haslams and Phil hate each other, which is what the Schiano fiasco solidified.

I figured the Haslams were wanting Phil out. They pushed for his firing in the beginning and they instilled Plowman and Boyd from what I’ve read.
