When today's Braves-Red Sox series opener was rained out at Fenway Park, the anticipated John Smoltz vs. "Dice-K" pitching duel was washed away. The game was rescheduled as the second part of a split doubleheader Saturday at 1:05 p.m. and 7:35 p.m., but Smoltz and Daisuke Matsuzaka, Boston's ballyhooed Japanese rookie, won't face each other as originally planned. They had been scheduled to pitch the second game of the series, but Matsuzaka will start Saturday's early game, and Smoltz will pitch in the nightcap. Braves rookie Anthony Lerew is set to face Matsuzaka, and Smoltz will go against rookie right-hander Devern Hansack.
