Washington -- After watching his Braves get no-hit for seven innings Monday, Tim Hudson looked for much of Tuesday night like he might match the performance. Hudson retired the first 14 Washington Nationals batters and allowed three hits and one run in seven innings of a 6-2 Braves win at RFK Stadium, evening the four-game series at one game apiece. Edgar Renteria hit two home runs as Hudson (5-1) and the Braves snapped the Nationals' four-game winning streak. Atlanta also avoided what would have been its first three-game losing streak of the season.

Hudson looked great again last night. Another good win, marred only by the fact that Chipper is STILL out of the lineup and the Braves are apparently starting to get worried about him.

i really wouldn't mind if chipper went ahead and sat out the rest of this series against washington and just made sure he was rested and ready to go for the big series this weekend. i think the lineup minus chipper should be able to handle washington pitching barring another flukey performance like they got from bergman the other night

He played tonight so I assume he's better.
