Chipper Jones finally agreed to rest Sunday, but it wasn't exactly a leisurely afternoon for the Braves third baseman. Pinch-hitting in the five-run seventh inning, he struck out on a checked-swing attempt and got ejected by third-base umpire Bob Davidson — for complaining about the call and/or about Davidson tossing manager Bobby Cox for arguing. "The second Bobby stepped out of the dugout, [Davidson] was gunning to throw him out," Jones said. "Bob Davidson feels like the thousands of people in the park come to see him. He's always been like that. It's a joke among the players."

Between the home plate ump missing the tag out and Davidson not being able to correctly call a check swing, the Braves had their backs against the wall the entire game and still managed to pull it out. What a comeback. Chip was right and hopefully Chip can get a mean streak going in him this season and bash out 40.

I don't know what it is about baseball Umpires that makes them act that way. You never really see it in any other sport.
