Andruw Jones received a cortisone shot in his sore left elbow on Friday night and was out of the lineup Saturday night against the Rockies. He will more than likely be out of the lineup Sunday too, but return with the start of the Mets series Tuesday in New York. Jones said his elbow has been bothering him since May 27 when he went over the fence to take a home run away from Philadelphia's Greg Dobbs. He slightly hyperextended it making that play, and it has worsened over the last month. "It's been there, I've been trying to suck it up and still play with it but it started bothering me a little too much," said Jones, who received the shot after going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts Friday night. "It's certain pitches that I can't reach for because that's when it hurts. The best thing to do was to get a shot and have a couple days to heal it up and get ready for the big series in New York and Philadelphia."
